What is Documentary Photography?
The wedding unfolds naturally without the interference of the photographer. The events and the different family relationships are photographed as they are presented without the direction of the photographer. The photographer finds the portraits and takes the photos quickly. The bride and groom, their families and guests do what they want and interact naturally.
The wedding unfolds naturally without the interference of the photographer. The events and the different family relationships are photographed as they are presented without the direction of the photographer. The photographer finds the portraits and takes the photos quickly. The bride and groom, their families and guests do what they want and interact naturally.
The reception is photographed in its entirety, with 95 percent of the photographs taken without any kind of pose for the photographer. The different moments are naturally documented as they happen. The images are produced permanently. Creativity is present at the moment of capturing in the precise second the moments that describe the wedding, the decisive moment.
The ability to anticipate what is going to happen is very important. Posed photos are generally informal. Creativity is evident through perspective, relationships between subjects, light, and form.
What would be the cost to document my wedding?
t all depends on your interest in documenting your day. You can invest from $1,500.00 USD to $4,000.00 USD. I have three Investments that may interest you.
How long do we have to make a decision?
After I send them the information and you don't have any questions, the deadline to make a decision is 5 days. If I do not hear from you in that period, I will believe that the date is free and you will no longer be able to reserve me. So please ask anything you want to know or just send me the negative answer, everything is better than no answer from you. There is the possibility that more couples may ask for the same date. In that case, the first couple to pay the retainer and sign the contract, books the date. This is very important for my organization and for communication with other clients who are also interested in my work.
Where are you located?
I live in the town of Cicero, IL, where I have my home office to edit your photographs and design your books.
Do you document weddings outside of Chicago?
Yes of course! I love getting to know new places and new people, making new friends and being inspired. I like to travel! So feel free to ask about my Investments anywhere in the world.
How much extra do you charge to travel to my wedding?
It all depends on the distance to your location. Though, there is a maximum fixed budget included in the Investments. Only the difference in expenses would be added to your destination.
I am interested in your style, how do we hire you?
Usually we meet at a Starbucks or Coffee Shop of your choice, oh if you are far from the Chicago Land area., We can talk by video call or by phone. I will send you the contract by email and it would be signed together with a $500 USD retainer. If you booked a Pre-Wedding or Trash Session (or both), the extra travel expenses (if applicable) will be settled 2 days before your session.

Your Investment is also insured 100% in case there is an equipment failure during your wedding day or computer hardware failure and I am not able to deliver your photos.
How long will it take to receive my photographs?
The gallery is ready and on the web for you to download in 2 weeks after your wedding day! For unlimited downloads to share with family and friends. And no watermarks so you can print them at your favorite print shop.
Will you bring an assistant to my wedding?
I document my weddings alone. It is up to you if you would like to hire a second camera to Assist me on your documentation.
What semi-professional cameras do you use?
I don't use semi-professional cameras. I use Canon 5D MARK III professional cameras and Canon L Series professional lenses, and other professional equipment. I also carry backup equipment to your wedding just in case one of them fails during your wedding.
Do you offer photo albums?
Of course, in different sizes. They are books of the highest quality and lay flat pages. If you want to know more, check the pricing guide (just send an email and I will send you the information)
